Founding Partner Stewart N. Boxer began his law practice in 1968 before going on to launch Boxer & Gerson in 1977 with Partner Michael Gerson. He earned certification from the State of California as a workers’ compensation specialist in 1973, and has since become widely recognized as one of the top workers’ comp attorneys in the state.
Stewart has served on the Board of Directors of the California Applicants’ Attorneys’ Association, a statewide organization of attorneys who represent injured workers, and has lectured on numerous occasions to attorneys and local labor unions.
A graduate from Fordham University Law School in 1965, Stewart served there as a case note editor on the school’s Law Review and as a member of the university’s Honorary Legal Society. His legal career got a significant early boost in 1966 when he served as a law clerk for Justice Byrl R. Salsman of the California Court of Appeals.
