Stewart Boxer began practicing law after earning his degree in 1965 from Fordham University Law School, where he served as a case note editor on the Fordham Law Review and was a member of the Honorary Legal Society. After just one year, his career got a big boost when he served as a law clerk for Justice Byrl R. Salsman of the California Court of Appeals. In 1968, Stewart started his own practice, and then five years later earned earned his certification from the State of California as a workers’ compensation specialist.

Together with partner Michael Gerson, the two launched Boxer+Gerson in 1977. Stewart is the son of a Teamster and has lectured on many occasions to attorneys and local labor unions. His longtime dedication to workers’ livelihood has earned him the recognition as one of the top workers’ comp attorneys in California.
