Deirdre Mochel has spent her entire career in employment law. Her practice at Boxer & Gerson is solely focused on representing injured workers at the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board. Over the years, she has gathered significant trial and appellate experience with workers’ compensation claims.
Born and raised in the Bay Area, Deirdre gravitated from an early age to situations where she could be of assistance to others. That ultimately resulted in her decision to enter the legal field, where she determined she could achieve tangible results for people who found themselves in difficult circumstances.
Deirdre earned her undergraduate degree from UC Davis, where she interned with both the Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP) and with the Women’s Health Initiative’s national research study. These engagements provided her with a unique perspective on health issues that affect today’s workers. She then enrolled at USF School of Law. Her activities there included serving as executive editor of the Law Review, which helped sharpen her research and writing skills.
When she’s not working, Deirdre enjoys travel, gardening, reading mystery novels, and spending time with her husband and two children.
