If you’ve followed the blog before, you know that workerscompzone 1.0 was a fixture on the California workers’ comp scene for about seven years. During that time the blog repeatedly won awards as one of the top blogs on workers’ comp and developed a following among some policymakers, workers’ comp judges, think tank consultants, lawyers, doctors and injured workers.
But in early 2014 the blog went offline, felled not by the sloth of yours truly but rather by problems with the hosting arrangement for the blog’s server.
I’ve used the time since to mull over what changes I’d like to make in the blog.
As you can see, the look has been changed, and I’ve updated it with various features that were not on workerscompzone 1.0.
Among these is a subscription feature so that the blog will be delivered to your e-mail box for reading as new posts are added. Please consider subscribing.
Unfortunately, the past blog entries were “lost” with the server debacle earlier this year. Or were they?
Not entirely, as many of those posts are retrievable via the Wayback Machine which can be found at www.archive.org. Those good folks archive the entire Internet. We were able to recapture some of the old posts. In time I’ll upload some more older postings to the resources section on the new version of the blog.
Workerscompzone strives to be an independent take on the California workers’ comp scene. As far as I know, it’s the oldest and most prominent blog from anyone representing California workers. In addition to covering California workers’ comp case law, regulations and legislation, the blog focuses on the politics and culture of workers’ comp.
In a post coming soon, I will be blogging on the Top 10 developments in California workers’ comp during the first half of 2014.
