NOTE: BOXER & GERSON STRONGLY SUPPORTS ASSEMBLY BILL 5 AND ITS INCREASED PROTECTIONS FOR CALIFORNIA WORKERS IN THIS UNCERTAIN ECONOMY
Four Boxer & Gerson, LLP attorneys and their families joined a coalition of hosting unions at the Annual Labor Day Picnic at Alameda Point on September 5. The day’s most notable guest was retiring U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer, wife of Boxer & Gerson Co-Founder Stewart Boxer. The Boxers joined the families of B&G attorneys Dennis Popalardo, Deirdre Mochel and Justin Litvack in the day’s festivities, which began with a motorcycle ride from Dublin to the picnic site for those inclined.
All the usual holiday picnic activities took place at the large gathering, held again at the former naval station that has been converted to a multi-use residential, small business and recreation attraction on the Alameda shoreline. Unions taking an active part included Teamsters Local 70 and Local 853, the United Food and Commercial Workers Local 5, the Alameda Firefighters IAFF Local 689, and others.
All of them are among many unions in the Bay Area and beyond to which Boxer & Gerson has offered longstanding support when members require legal representation.
